A Modern-Day Poet is a book of short stories placed in poetic rhyme. This book was written about many people, events, and places. I prefer poetry because it allows one to tell many stories. The eyes are cameras that take many pictures, some are good and some are tragic; nonetheless, the story must be told. I write to create a feeling within the reader; if I can evoke agreement or disagreement, I feel I have written something that has substance. I love to play with words, they are like toys. My first love was writing, and my second love was golf. This book is intended to contain poems that can be interpreted many different ways along with imagery from the writer’s perspective. My poetry is also intended to educate while giving the reader a story. Some poems will have words that are not commonly used in casual conversation, so feel free to grab a dictionary and look them up if you want to get the true story the poem is telling.
